Alistair Reid has worked at Heather Mills in Selkirk for eight years, which has given him the opportunity to be the Selkirk Incorporation of Weavers Standard Bearer.
He is a retained fireman having joined Lothian and Borders Fire Brigade 7 months ago.
After completing a course in breathing apparatus at Gullane in East Lothian, he concludes his training as a fireman.

Alistair's wife, Celine, is looking forward "nervously" to this year's Selkirk Common Riding. They have two children, Gemma (6) and Aaron (4).
His older brother, Ian, who also works for Heather Mills, cast the Weavers colours exactly 20 years before.
