Community Council Presentation Evening

The Royal Burgh of Selkirk & District Community Council held its Annual Presentation Evening in Selkirk Town Hall on Friday 5th May 2005. Added to this year's event was an Evening Reception for a group of Plattling Firemen and their partners who are on a long weekend visit from Selkirk's twin town to the Royal Burgh.
Chairman of the Council, John Munro, welcomed all the guests to the Town Hall, which included representatives from Selkirk Common Riding Trust and the Casting Organisations, plus other guests.
John Munro presented Scott Tomlinson, Royal Burgh Standard Bearer for 2005 with a small gift from the Council and also gave an inscribed certificate to all the Plattling guests.
